2020 Ram ProMaster vs 2020 Nissan NV Cargo

Finding the work van that meets all the needs of your business can be cumbersome when there are so many options on the market to choose from. We know that sorting through them all can quickly become frustrating, which is why we have created this comparison review. We have taken two of the segment's most popular models, the 2020 Ram ProMaster and the 2020 Nissan NV and stacked them up against each other to see just how they compare. Keep reading to learn more about what they have to offer and which one we recommend!

2020 Ram ProMaster Power & Handling

Under the hood of every Ram ProMaster model, drivers will find a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. This engine delivers up to 280 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, all of which is sent to the front-wheels with standard front-wheel drive through a six-speed automatic transmission. The front-wheel-drive configuration is exclusive to the ProMaster model! When it comes to towing, the ProMaster can handle loads up to 6,800 pounds and payloads up to 4,680 pounds.

2020 Nissan NV CargoPower & Handling

There are two engines offered for the Nissan NV. The base engine is a 4.0-liter V6 that produces up to 261 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. The second engine option is a 5.6-liter V8 that produces 375 horsepower and 387 pound-feet of torque. This engine mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. When it comes to towing, the NV can handle up to 9,400 pounds but only with the V8 engine.

2020 Ram ProMaster Features & Design

Instead of traditional trim levels, the ProMaster is offered in three levels known as 1500, 2500 and 3500. These numbers translate to how long the wheelbase is and how tall the roof is. Standard features include power windows, Hill Start Assist, a 4-speaker sound system with both auxiliary and USB ports, remote keyless entry, a 5-inch touchscreen with Uconnect, a telescoping steering wheel, six- airbags, and more. There are tons of options for this work van including aluminum wheels, navigation, cruise control, a driver-side sliding door, backup sensors, Bluetooth, cruise control, rear windows, and more.

2020 Nissan NV CargoFeatures & Design

The NV is offered in three trim levels. The base model is outfitted with a tilting steering wheel, a 7-inch touchscreen, a fold-front passenger seat, Bluetooth, air conditioning, power locks and windows, a four-speaker sound system. The upper two trims add a 6-speaker sound system, cruise control, rear parking sensors, navigation, heated front seats, and that's about it.

Conclusion:

After reviewing what both of these work vans have to offer, we have to choose the 2020 Ram ProMaster! The second engine offered for the NV is great but it is only offered for certain configurations making it harder and more expensive to access and the trim levels are seriously lacking features.
