Meet the First and Only Electrified Muscle Car!

In 2023, Dodge discontinued the iconic Charger, barely hinting at when, if ever, it would return. Well, the wait for that information didn't last very long, as the 2024 Dodge Charger has been revealed. While the 2024 Charger comes standard with a new gas-powered engine, Dodge also introduces the Charger Daytona lineup: a next-generation, all-electric lineup of high-performance muscle cars! The all-new Charger Daytona models – R/T and Scat Pack – sit on the STLA Large platform, designed for full-size all-electric vehicles, and offer a two-door coupe or four-door sedan layout. With an electric powertrain designed to provide the muscle car thrill that Dodge is known for, the 2024 Charger Daytona simultaneously achieves zero emissions. We're excited to share details of the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona lineup with our customers, so without further ado, please continue reading below to learn more!

Classic Muscle Car Style with a Modern Twist

Drawing inspiration from nearly all of the Dodge Charger's previous generations, the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona captures the essence of America's muscle car brand while launching it into the future. A perfect example of this is the reintroduction of the Fratzog triangle logo on the grille, decklid, and wheel center caps. Originally found on Dodge models from the 1962 to 1976 model years, the Fratzog logo is a nod to the brand's heritage. The logos found on the grille and trunk decklid are illuminated with LED lighting for a modern twist. At the front, a white LED light bar passes across the grille below the white LED Fratzog logo. Meanwhile, at the rear, the red LED Fratzog logo sits at the center of the two red 'ring of fire' cross-car taillamps. Exclusive to the Dodge Charger Daytona lineup is a patent-pending front R-Wing. While calling out the wing on original Dodge Charger Daytona, the R-Wing also enhances downforce by allowing air to flow through a front pass-through section and creates a unique design profile. The Charger Daytona R/T features 18-by-8-inch Tech Silver alloy wheels, while the Daytona Scat Pack features 20-by-11-inch Satin Carbon wheels. Meanwhile, opting for the Blacktop Package gets you 20-by-11-inch Black Noise wheels, while the Track Package gains 20-by-11-inch Luster wheels. Exterior paint options for the Charger Daytona lineup include Bludicrous, After Dark, Destroyer Grey, Diamond Black, White Knuckle, Redeye, Triple Nickle, and Peel Out.

Reimagined Interior for the Dodge Charger Daytona

For years, Dodge has distinguished itself with a driver-focused interior layout, with the center stack facing slightly left toward the driver. While the 2024 Charger continues this, that is right about where the similarities with the previous generation end. The all-new Charger features a flat top and bottom design for a performance-inspired feel. Meanwhile, the Daytona models feature paddle shifters for management of the regenerative braking and an easily accessible PowerShot button. Behind the steering wheel is a standard 10.25-inch fully-digital gauge cluster on the R/T, while the Scat Pack's gauge cluster spans an impressive 16 inches! Meanwhile, a horizontal 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen protrudes from the top of the center stack. The center console features a modernized version of the pistol-grip shifter along with the relocated ignition push-button for a cockpit-like feel. While cloth/leatherette upholstery is standard for the Charger lineup, Demonic Red and Black Nappa leather seating is also available. Finally, the all-new Charger offers up to 38.5 cubic feet of space in the rear cargo area, which is 133% more space than the outgoing Charger model. Plus, the "frunk" area in the Daytona models adds another 1.5 cubic feet of storage space. A frunk, or front trunk, is a common feature on all-electric vehicles, replacing the engine under the hood with additional storage space.

How is the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Powered?

Dodge meticulously crafted the 2024 Charger Daytona's powertrain to deliver all the muscle car thrill of the outgoing Hellcat models while achieving zero tailpipe emissions. The first and only all-electric muscle car features an electric drive module (EDM) on each axle, providing standard all-wheel drive for both Daytona models. Each EDM provides 335 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque and gets its power from a 100.5-kilowatt-hour battery pack, capable of discharging up to 550 kilowatts. The battery is designed to provide maximum acceleration by allowing the EDMs to put as much power as the battery can provide within a quarter-mile to use. The Charger R/T features a Direct Connection Stage 1 kit, giving it 496 horsepower, while the Scat Pack lays down a whopping 670 horsepower with a Stage 2 kit from Direct Connection. Like other EVs, the Charger Daytona models come with regenerative braking, which involves converting the vehicle's kinetic energy during deceleration into electricity and sending it back to the battery pack to increase the total driving range. Using the paddle shifters, drivers can adjust the vehicle's regenerative braking level with 0.1g, 0.2g, or 0.3g regen to customize the driving experience.
