General Service Questions About Servicing Your Vehicle at Buds Chrysler Dodge Jeep
What services does your dealership offer?
Our certified service team is equipped to handle everything your vehicle needs to stay in top condition. We offer routine maintenance like oil and filter changes, fluid checks and services, and tire rotations. We also specialize in brake inspections and replacements, tire balancing and wheel alignments, and new tire installation-with competitive pricing on leading brands.
In addition, we provide battery testing and replacement, advanced vehicle diagnostics, transmission servicing, and quick replacements for essentials like windshield wipers and headlights.
Do I need to schedule a service appointment, or can I walk in?
Appointments are recommended and typically required to ensure timely service and proper scheduling. However, we understand that unexpected issues can arise, and we do our best to accommodate emergent situations and urgent repairs when possible.
How do I schedule a service appointment?
For the most accurate availability and to better accommodate your needs, we recommend calling our service department directly so our team can assist you personally. (419)586-7000 or (866)412-2837
· Do you work on all vehicle makes and models, or only Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM?
Our service team is trained to work on a wide range of makes and models, not just Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM vehicles. However, warranty repairs must be completed at an authorized dealership for that specific brand, so factory warranty work is limited to CDJR vehicles.
Are your technicians certified?
Yes, we have technicians who are both factory certified and ASE certified specialists. They are required to maintain their certifications and stay up to date with the latest training. This ensures your vehicle is always serviced with expert care and attention to detail.
How often should I change my oil?
For most vehicles using full synthetic oil, it's recommended to schedule an oil change about every 5,000 miles. If you drive less than that in a year, it's still important to have your oil changed at least once annually to maintain engine performance and long-term reliability.
· What maintenance does my vehicle need at specific mileage intervals?
Service requirements can vary based on your vehicle's make, model, and driving habits, so there isn't a universal schedule. Your owner's manual is a great place to find manufacturer-recommended intervals, or you can reach out to our team-we're happy to help you map out a maintenance plan tailored to your vehicle.
· How can I tell if my brakes need service?
Common warning signs include vibrations when braking, squealing or grinding noises, or a rubbing sensation. These symptoms often point to worn brake components or other issues, so it's best to have your brakes checked promptly to keep your vehicle safe and performing properly.
· What are the signs my battery may need to be replaced?
A slow or sluggish engine crank when starting your vehicle is often an early warning sign of a weakening battery. To avoid unexpected breakdowns, we recommend having your battery tested so you can replace it before it fails.
· Do you provide a shuttle service or loaner vehicles?
Yes, we offer loaner vehicles to help minimize any disruption while your vehicle is in for service. Availability can vary, so we recommend contacting our service team ahead of time to reserve a vehicle and confirm details.
· Do you have a waiting area with Wi-Fi?
Yes! We have a comfortable customer waiting area equipped with free Wi-Fi for your convenience. While you wait, you can also enjoy complimentary coffee and water, free doughnuts (first come, first serve), a popcorn machine, and vending machines.
· Do you sell and install tires?
Yes, we sell and install tires right here at our service department. Be sure to check with us about any current tire promotions or specials that may be available!
